Mission Trips

Missionaries from the U.S. visit India with Margham every year.  While in India, American missionaries preach the gospel at village meetings, and hold pastor conferences, vacation Bible school and women’s programs.  They visit the orphanages, widows’ homes, and lepers that Margham support.   These humble people are often overwhelmed with joy and excitement over the visit of an American Margham representative, and the pastors often speak of the great encouragement they feel from meeting their brothers and sisters from America.
But the impact goes both ways – American visitors leave with a renewed vigor in their faith after worshiping with such a fervent congregation. It is truly inspiring to see first hand the amazing work God is doing as He draws His people to Himself in India.

Pastor Conferences

Most Margham pastors have no formal training since seminaries are taught in English and are costly. Since 2004, Margham U.S.A missionaries have served these pastors by writing and teaching Biblical commentaries that are translated into Telugu and Hindi.
The conferences are also a time for prayer, worship, and renewal for these men who work so hard for God’s kingdom.

Village meetings

American missionaries are welcomed as honored guests in the small, often remote villages where Margham pastors work to share the gospel.  A typical village meeting begins with joyous songs of praise as the people gather from the surrounding homes and fields.  After the local pastor welcomes the visitors, the Americans missionaries speak to the people with the help of a translator.  The sermons are aimed to both encourage the believers at the meeting and to also present the gospel to any unbelievers present.  The presence of Americans usually draws a lot of attention in these rural villages, so it is a special privilege to direct newly interested seekers to the local pastor to learn more about Christ.
